Deluxe Double-Chocolate Cookies - The Ultimate Cookie
In a serendipitous moment of browsing at Costco the other day, I came upon Tartine, the cookbook from the bakery of the same name. When I flipped the book open, the first recipe I saw was for the deluxe double-chocolate cookies. The recipe utilizes bittersweet chocolate and cocoa. The resulting cookies are deep, dark, sultry and intoxicatingly chocolate. They resemble chewy chocolate wafer cookies. Alluring. Irresistible. Dangerous.
Truly, for cookies as deep and mysteriously delicious as these, there are no words. Suffice it to say that they have become our favorite of all cookies. Try them, and they're bound to become a favorite at your house, too.
Follow up: I didn't put the recipe in my post, but you can find it here.

Looks yummy, I love chocolate cookies, who doesn't. I will have to find this cookbook.
Yum, yum! I've had that cookbook for two years and have never made anything from it (bad baker). I've been to the bakery, though, and it's amazing.
OK, I'm super-impressed: two posts in one day! I'm lucky to get two a week lately. I can totally see why these are your favorite cookie. They have the perfect texture! I can see those rings of chewiness. Yum. I have that cookbook, so will be whipping these up sometime soon. Thanks for finding this recipe.

I went to Tartine in SF last year. Didn't try that cookie, but the book looks divine and so did all their other goodies! I might have to put that book on my wish list.
Ciao ! SUPER COOKIES ! I WOULD LOVE A COUPLE !!!
Wow, I'm jealous of the cookbook selection at your warehouse club :) I rarely see great cookbooks at mine. Great pick-up! These cookies look amazing - I know Shane would love them so I'm adding them to my list now.
NO RECIPE? How can you do that me??
Now I'll have to go get the book.
I'm definitely going to try these, and soon! I love Scharffen Berger, and I'm happy to see a recipe that uses natural cocoa. So many recipes use Dutch-processed cocoa, and I just don't like the taste of it.
These cookies look délicious!
