I don't go to Williams-Sonoma. Ever.

This is why.

I fell off the wagon today. Thank God I only had 15 minutes or it could have been much worse. To be fair, my 9" spring form pan doesn't seal well and is rusting badly. I don't own a grill pan and missed grilling this winter (I didn't succumb to the $160 Le Creuset, buying the $31 Lodge Logic cast iron instead). I'm just flat out sick of having to wash the box grater whenever I need to grate a little cheese. AND, I had a 5 year old gift certificate, so my grand total was *only* $46 (yes, I'm turbo rationalizing).

Do new kitchen goodies make you fantasize about the fabulous things you'll cook with them?

Love it. It's OK to fall off the wagon every now and then.

I love walking through WS, but I have to exert massive self control to keep my wallet in my purse. :)

I drool over the Le Creuset sets, the beautiful hammered copper bean pots, a new Cuisinart food processor ... and all the little bits and pieces on the back wall.

If I ever win the lottery, I know where the majority of my money will be going! :)

I love WS, but I think their products are way overpriced. At the same time, I just have to buy their Goldtouch because everywhere else sells such horrible pans. Everything is just so pretty about that store though!

A perfect way to spend an afternoon -- browsing kitchen stores. Looks like you made some fine choices in a short time!

The same thing happens to me when I go to Sur la Table. Dangerous, I tell you - just dangerous.

The microplane grater is my new bff - I couldn't live without it!

I could easily make a good argument that you need all of those things! At least the $ damage wasn't too bad. If I can keep my spontaneous trips under $50 I am happy.

These looks like absolutely NECESSARY ITEMS if you ask me! That's how I justify it every single time. You would be amazed what is ABSOLUTELY a necessary item. LOL! Great purchases. Melissa at From Laptop to Stovetop just went to Sur La Table and posted her haul...check it out! LOL. You can connect through the Whisk Wednesday's blogroll at www.whiskblog.com

Just yum, right? I need to find people to eat my desserts. No way I'm baking less!

Definitely and so do the cookbooks.
Great work with that certificate.
